Story
Raymond P Raven is possibly in the top 3 of the most recognised Isle of Man based bird shaped mascots of all time. He is the unofficial mascot of FC Isle of Man .
He cares deeply and passionately about FC Isle of Man and wants to support the players, supporters, managment, board and many volunteers which make up the FC Isle of Man community and family.
The club have just completed their first season in the North West Counties Football League Premier Division (Tier 9 of the English League hierarchy) placing a very creditable 13th out of 22. A requirement of entry to the division is that the club has to pay for away teams and match officials to travel and stay on the Island, which puts FCIOM a considerable financial disadvantage to other teams, indeed other teams at this level are even able to pay their players as they're operating from a much lower cost base.
It takes considerable time, commitment and dedication from the management and players, and understanding from their employers for the away travel and all the early morning training sessions, not to mention co-operation and support from the local teams that the players are registered with.
The management, players and supporters have been a credit to and indeed ambassabors for the Island at the away games, and in turn the club and supporters hospitality to the away teams and supporters have showcased the Island in a very favourable light.
A fantastic community spirit has built around the club, and Raymond would like this to continue for as long as possible....

So to raise funds (every little helps) Raymond has entered this year's Manx Telecom Parish Fly 2023 , being held on 24th June 2023, and is aiming to fly all of the way to Rushen, home of one of his favourite players, Furooooo Davies.
Raymond also recognises that recent times have been extraordinarily challenging for people and have taken an unprecendented toll on people's mental health and well-being and therefore he would like to also raise funds for local Manx Charity Isle Listen.
