Rebecca was diagnosed with Chondrosarcoma in February 2017. This is a very rare bone and cartilage cancer that Rebecca has in her left hip. Rebecca was operated on to remove three large tumours and is now in the rehabilitation stage of recovery. Rebecca is a hockey player from Hampstead and Westminster Hockey Club in London. On the 9th April 2018, Rebecca's Mum and Dad, Nikki and Ray, will be walking from the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore London (where Rebecca is being treated) to Arrowe Park Hospital in Birkenhead Merseyside, where Rebecca was born. This walk will mainly be on the canal network of England and will be done in 5 days getting to Birkenhead on the 13th April 2018.
