I've raised £1200 to help us get a defibrillator at both branches

At RDDC It has always been an important part of our routine to keep our First Aid certificates up to date for all our staff.
Our latest First Aid training session was the first time we were all introduced to a (AED) defibrillator device and trained on how to use it. Alarm bells rang immediately in our heads when we learned about facts like these....
We need these around our pupils !!!!!
On Sunday 13th May the RDDC Team & their dogs, will be walking from the Ramsbottom Branch at 10am and finishing at the Waterfoot Branch, to help raise funds to go towards us getting a defibrillator at both RDDC branches. Everyone is welcome to join us, with or without their furry friend or meet us along the way to help raise money. You can simply use this page for your own sponsors. Remember to tell people to leave a comment with their donation, naming who they are sponsoring.
Most importantly we want/need your help to get close to our target by giving what you can to our cause.
From 12pm at our Waterfoot Branch on that day, we are putting on a 'First Aid Awareness Day'. There will be Paramedics and Children's Nurses with one of their response vehicles for everyone to look around and answer any questions you have. First Aid trainers will be demonstrating AEDs, choking scenarios & general First Aid. And of course face painting, music, balloons & refreshments too.
So stick the date in your diary and either come along with us, or meet us at Waterfoot Branch from 12pm on Sunday 13th May.
Your support always blows us away and even though this is something we don't ever want to use, we feel it is more important than anything else we have asked for before.
This event has been organised with the help of the RDDC Team, friends and RDDC Parents.
If anyone else in the RDDC family is also involved in this area of work and would like to be involved directly too, then please get in touch with someone at RDDC or leave a message for us on here.
Many thanks, RDDC Team x
