React! Youth Theatre is an amateur dramatics company for 7-17 year olds in Consett, whose primary aim is to give children in an area which is often overlooked a safe space to grow in confidence and ability, teaching them valuable life skills that they can take on into work, and memories they can carry forever.

Every year, they put on a full scale production in March at the local theatre; it costs £3000 just to rent the theatre alone, only a fraction of which can be made back in ticket sales. This doesn't include paying for show rights, costumes, the band, lighting, set, or rehearsal space (among many other costs), which can easily make the costs add up to over £11000. Without endless fundraising efforts from everyone in the group, their families and the committee, we wouldn't be able to put on these shows.

This year, a few committee members and their families have chosen to run the Colour Run 5K to help fundraise for the 2019 production. Please support us in any way you can, by donating or sharing our page with others!
