Story

Our Boarding community is getting together to raise money for the refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine. Our committee, led by Sam Tsang in South House and Mathew Wong in East Wing, have organised for a sponsored run to take place next week from Monday 21 to Sunday 27 March. The entire Boarding community will be joining in the effort to reach 2,021 kilometres in one week, by running, walking, cycling and rowing. This represents the distance between Reading to Lviv, where the volunteers we are supporting are based.

Please donate generously to sponsor our Boarders and support Artists for Ukraine: https//artistsforukraine.org/

Artists for Ukraine is an initiative co-led by artists at the University of Reading and in Reading town, a fundraising campaign receiving donations to support ‘Kuhknia’ (Kitchen) a private network of volunteers who are cooking meals, sourcing medicine and other vital supplies and arranging temporary accommodation for refugees stranded in Western Ukraine, in the cities of Lviv, on the Polish border, and Uzhgorod, on the Hungarian border.

Thank you for your support of our Charity event!
