It's the British Transplant Games this August in Nottingham, 2 years since last I last took part, which means it's time to dust off the trainers and step out again for my hospital team, and there is a very special reason for this.

My friends beautiful daughter Poppy, received the call for a multi organ transplant on the 20th of April 2024. Things haven't gone as planned, and have been very difficult for Poppy, as she remains in Intensive Care. I think I can speak on behalf of all Kim's friends when I say its heartbreaking what the whole family is having to endure. I've felt so helpless, praying constantly for Poppy every single day but wishing I could do more. Having spoken with Kim, I'd like to do something to help, something positive to help this incredible family. So, Dave and I will be participating in the Donor Run 5 km on the 3rd of August in Nottingham (I use the term 'run' very loosely! My consultants have agreed for me to walk this so full clearance to waddle along and be the last to finish granted! 🐌)

We clearly won't be setting any records but we would like to raise some money for Poppy and her wonderful family, helping them now with things they need and for when they can do something lovely all together ❤️ I've set up this page & it would be absolutely wonderful if you would considering sponsoring Dave and I. All proceeds raised go straight to this brave family enduring what most cannot even begin to imagine. Thank you for reading this xx
