Story

Help us support 'Mind' a mental health charity!

Me and some friends are planning on climbing the Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks ( Pen-y-gent, Whernside and Ingleborough) in the Easter holidays to raise money to support Mind.

Mind is a charity devoted to supporting mental health and ending the stigma surrounding it. Mind offer a confidential call line in which anyone can ring to talk about any worries, this can lead to someone turning their whole life around and even preventing suicide or self harm. They also provide tons of useful, honest information on different kinds of mental health issues and how to deal with them. Additionally, they campaign across the country, on tv and in parliment to change society's views on mental health. As well as this, they provide workplace training to give people skills of mental health first aid and suicide intervention skills. These are just some of the amazing things this charity does every day!

It is vital that people support charities like Mind so that people can recognise when loved ones are suffering and offer the support they need. 16 million people in the UK experience a mental illness, this needs to be supported the same way regular illnesses are. More shockingly, 75% of young people with a mental health problem are not recieving treatment!

I imagine this cause will be near to many peoples hearts as it is mine. They have already helped so many people who are struggling with different problems including myself and we can help them to continue to offer this excellent support.

Please donate and help us support this amazing charity! 💗
