I've raised £500 to continue helping the children in their education that Helping Hand Cambodia supports from the slums of Phenom Penh, Cambodia.

After the success of last year when Chris Miller ran 100Km to raise money for Helping Hand Cambodia, this year he is stepping it up a gear and is running “The Endurance Triple” - over 100 miles at 3 events to help raise funds.
On June 29th Chris will be doing the Challenge the Wight , which is an overnight marathon run from the Needles to Yaverland Bay on the Isle of Wight (26.5mile)
On 31st August Chris will be competing in the Conquest of Avalon (50 miles)
On 8th September Chris will take part in the New Forest Marathon . (26.2miles)
Any amount given will help the children, for example:
£1 for a calculator
£5 for water for the classroom for 1 month
£5 for a clothes voucher
£10 for a school bag
£12 for a desk and chair for a child to have in their home to make homework easier
£20 for a second hand guitar
£20 for a bicycle so that they can cycle to school each day
Plus any amount towards the rent and running costs of the Education Centre.
The building is used for providing extra English lessons and “Homework Support” from Monday to Friday. Chanthy Chen our Cambodian Coordinator takes these lessons along with one volunteer who is a qualified English teacher (She works for a big American School in Phnom Penh) and another teacher who is funded to teach Science for a few hours a week. These lessons have proved invaluable to our students as when they go home from school, they do not have access to the internet, laptops, IPads or educated parents to help them with their homework. This building helps and supports their education and has been an absolute Blessing to us.
Thank you very much for all your support. Every little contribution can make a big difference to help us to continue changing the lives of children living in the slums of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
