Story

Cancer is a horrible, horrible disease that affects us all in some way. I'm running the Great North Run this year and I'm donating any money that I can raise to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, which funds and supports treatment, training, research and clinical trials in the Northern Centre for Cancer Care at the Freeman Hospital. This is a cause that has unfortunately become very close to my heart over the past couple of years. The staff that work in the NCCC do an incredible job of caring for cancer patients and their families everyday - certainly in terms of medicinal treatment, but also by offering personal care and support that means so much to those coping with this disease.

For my part, I would love to give back in any way that I can to offer my admiration and appreciation to everyone involved in the NCCC for everything that they do day in, day out.

I really believe that we are getting closer to a cure for this awful disease and any money that we can give to charities like this will help specialists get to that cure sooner. Please donate anything you can!
