The Acorn Centre is a special needs unit for 25 SEN primary age children. We have receintly undergone a referb inside the classrooms but that has left no budget for the outside space!
We are turning the 'wasteland' into a sensory garden with water features, wind chimes, a grass sofa and a twigwam, amongst other things.
All of this has either been dontated or fundraised for.
We are doing all of the hard graft ourselves - its very rewarding!

I have worked for the Acorn centre for 8 years and Katie joined our team about 3 years ago. Together we have been causing chaos and embarking on random and exciting projects ever since!!!

We will be taking part in a 5k park run to raise money for our latest project...... the xylophone!

Anyone that knows us will appreciate that you are more likely to find us in the beer garden munshing crisps and sipping cocktails than doing any form of exercise, so this is a real challenge!

Dig deep and pay for the privallage of us trying not to kill ourselves in public!!!!
