I've raised £300 to donate to the Solan Connor Fawcett Family Cancer Trust

At the start of the year I wanted to set myself a challenge but also to raise money and support Mark Solan and his amazing charity. So here I am registered to take part in a gruelling 54 miles cycle from London to Brighton in September.
This will be in loving memory of my lovely nanna who sadly passed away from Ovarian Cancer a few years ago. I have chosen the Solan Connor Fawcett trust because it is local but also the trust has also recently helped fit a stair lift for my uncle who is suffering from this horrendous disease. By doing so the trust has made it easier for him to be at home and a huge difference to his and my auntie' s lives. The town witnesses the difference the trust makes to the lives of others affected by cancer everyday. Sadly it is all too often part of people's lives these days and the things the trust can offer make such a huge difference. I want to give something back by making a contribution to the amazing work Mark and his team do. So dig deep folks! Those of you who know me, know how much of a challenge this will be for me. 54 miles of cycling ain't easy going especially for a novice like me!
