Story
On Wednesday, the unthinkable happened. A fire broke out at my brothers home, with our beloved family pets, Lilly the dog and Kara the cat, inside. The wonderful County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service not only put out the fire, but saved his pets.
When Lilly was brought out she was given oxygen, she is mostly OK but pretty traumatised by her ordeal and after being checked out at the vets is at home getting lots of cuddles.
But Kara is a different story. The fire fighters had to not only administer oxygen, but they had to perform CPR. Kara was not doing so well and is still at the vets now receiving treatment.
On top of this devastating stress of his pets, a lot of furniture and household items were destroyed in this fire. Electricals and furniture are beyond repair and have left us with next to nothing with only some personal affects saved.
His family has been ripped apart, and now we are facing mounting vet bills to help heal our precious Kara, and the struggle to get new household items we need.
Thanj you for taking the time to read this. I hope you can help xx
