Bev and her soulmate Mick Newton are both active members within the Rugby community, alongside Bev’s son & Grandson, they are always supporting the club & with raising funds for all ages from the ages of 3 all way through to open age. Bev’s biggest challenge was to do a sponsored silence where many friends were only too happy to throw in some money to keep her quiet
MND awareness has been raised recently by Rob Burrows, Bev & Mick have shown their support as always, Mick also took part in the Walk 4 Rob. MND is a cruel disease with 1/300 diagnosed,gradually stops the messages from the brain reaching the muscles leading them to weaken& waste away effecting people differently, how you talk, move, eat, drink & breathe. Never did Bev, Mick & family expect to here those words “Bev you have MND and there is no cure” turning all their lives upside down. This is an emotional roller coaster for them all. With life changing quickly theywish for Bev to remain in her family home where she can enjoy as much time as possible with family/friends making many more memories to treasure. For this to happen there home requires lots of alterations making it as comfortable/normal as possible there are grants being applied for but these alone will not cover the full costs required, therefore we would like to raise as much money as possible to support Bev & family in their wish to stay in her family home & create memories to cherish. So how do we raise this money you ask? We want to push everyone to their limits, give what they can all whilst having some fun. So we are planning many events a walk-up Snowdon, A zipwire in the Welsh Mountains, a Tandem Parachute Jump from 15,000 feet, a donkey derby, & raffles We would love you all to share our page, join us at events, create your own event, but most of all contribute whatever you have spare to help us support and raise money for Bev, our inspiration in all this.Thank you for taking the time to read this you are all amazing people.
