I'm raising £1,000 for veterinary bills and ongoing care for one of our cats, Dandelion.

Unfortunately, Dandelion was attacked by a dog outside our home on Tuesday 10th February. I witnessed the attack from my upstairs window and was able to get down to the incident within seconds, however the dog had already gripped onto her back leg, groin and abdomen causing significant injury.

We were unable to assess the injuries for a number of hours as she ran off terrified once he had let go. Thankfully she returned later that day and we rushed her to the emergency vets.

She has stayed in for 2 days, had numerous tests and xrays to determine what damage has been done. She has returned home to us this evening with a large amount of medication, and a plan of action which involves further vet appointments.

As an already fairly timid cat, her behaviour and confidence has definitely been hit hard. She is extremely nervous and the vets had to give her anti anxiety medication whilst in their care due to her levels of stress.

This has also had an impact on us as a family due to the traumatising event, the care needed for Dandelion now she's home, the future vet appointments and the possibility of securing our property for our cats as we no longer feel it is safe to let them free roam around the area.

Obviously the financial impact is there too. We're trying to pay the bills and contemplate the future expense of vet bills and the cat proofing of the garden.

Unfortunately we just don't have this money to hand so it is going to place us in financial hardship. Any contribution towards Dandelions care would be massively appreciated. I know times are hard for alot of us, but anything you can spare would be amazing!
