Story
My Mum Sally and I are trekking the Great Wall of China October 2019 in aid of Dorset Abilities Group, this challenge will involve trekking some 35km and climbing over a 1,000 steps.
This fantastic organisation offers a range of all inclusive clubs and social activities for adults with disabilities, whether it's the social and horticulture, fitness, book club, cooking school, tuck by truck and so much more. They offer support, care, friendship and the continued development of valuable life skills in a safe and all inclusive environment. A place to be. This group is not only a vital community service but a cause very close to our hearts.
James my older brother is a member and always enjoys his time there, he's made friends and has access to time and activity that enriches his life. James has taught me what it means to be different and that everyone deserves a place in the world, that nothing should hold you back and disability doesn't mean inability.
We've set our selves the mammoth challenge of raising £5,500 between us, any donations will be used to send us on our travels and raise money for this well deserving cause, anything big or small will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
