Hello!! My name is Rebecca Hardiman and I'm a Sixth Form Student from Oxfordshire. I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to visit Peru for 4 weeks to take part in voluntary work such as community development, environmental projects and wildlife conservation work. This trip will also include a 4-5 day trek up the Machu Picchu mountain along the Salkantay trail.

In the area we will be visiting there is a lot of volunteer work currently underway which I would love to be a part of to make a difference to the local communities in the area. I am passionate about going on this trip as I feel that, as a young person, it is important to experience wider cultures and to play a role in helping to advance the living conditions and education within less fortunate areas.

The money that I manage to fundraise will go towards being able to go on this trip and to make a difference in the world, no matter how small or large that may be.
