I am 23, my partner and I have been engaged for 3 years. I recently found out my dad was diagnosed with stomach cancer. An it got me thinking about about the day when my dad isnt around anymore. No one likes the thought of losing a love one but for me the threat is real. I always used to think my dad was invincible. He is my hero. My mum has bipolar, I had to grow up from a very early age to care for her, it wasnt easy. I had no one to talk to or even understand what i was going through. Faking a smile came easy. But Frank Sledge my step dad saw through all that an at 10 years old i became a child again but it wasnt for long unfortunately I became very ill with aplastic anema and had to grow up again. But if it wasnt for this man holding me in his arms every night and telling me everything was going to be alright, I honestly dont know how id of beaten that terrible illness. He changed my mum for the first time she was truly happy. All i am asking is to help give him the chance to walk me down the aisle.
