This July, I’m heading to Grenada with my eldest daughter, who’ll have just finished her GCSEs, to volunteer at the Grenada SPCA. As a vet, I’ll be helping out with medical care for the many sick, injured, and abandoned animals the centre looks after each year. My daughter will be getting stuck in with the day-to-day care of the animals, helping out with the daily chores needed to make sure they are all fed and looked after. We are paying for our own flights, and the centre is kindly putting us up while we are there, so any money raised will be going directly to treating and feeding the animals. We are hoping to take some veterinary supplies with us—some donated by Derwent Valley Vets—but we’d also love to raise £500 to help the centre to continue to provide vital treatment for the animals in their care. The Grenada SPCA runs entirely on donations, so any support from friends, clients, or fellow animal lovers would mean a lot. Thank you x
