Story
Tuesday 12th May I attended a routine eye test, after feeling unwell for months and being diagnosed with different illnesses, in which the optician discovered that both of my optic nerves were swollen and this was due to pressure behind the eyes. I was sent straight to James Cook and immediately put under the care of their Neurosurgery Team on Ward 24, who then diagnosed me with a Brain Tumour. The following day I was allowed home to tell family and friends and prepare for my surgery the coming week. Wednesday 20th May I had brain surgery to remove the tumour from my right frontal lobe which was a success and resulted in the majority of the mass being removed. I have had a fantastic recovery and was discharged back home Saturday 23rd May.
I am looking to raise as much money as possible for The Little Princess Trust and James Cook Ward 24 (who saved my life) by braving the shave Saturday 27th June and donating all my hair to make wigs as not everyone is as lucky as I am! Want to also highlight the phenomenal work and care that the angels on Ward 24 do, we are incredibly lucky to have such an amazing thing in the NHS!!
Any sponsorships would be greatly appreciated!
