Story

During week commencing 3rd July Water Mill Primary School is having a special week called 'Rebuilding our Community' where each class will be raising money for a chosen charity. They will also be supporting in the local community; gardening, litter picking, singing to residents of a local care home and much more. Pupils want to give back to our community and help to support all those affected by the pandemic. We are asking for donations to Just Giving to help us to make this a huge success. When donating you can just donate to the whole event or you can name which charity you would like to support.

The chosen charities are

Reception: The RSPCA, Year 1: The Air Ambulance, Year 2, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Year 3: Dementia UK, Year 4: Acorns, Year 5: Food bank, Year 6: The Children's Hospital

The children in each class have decided the charity that they would like to support and the activities that they want to do in the community. They are using this event to learn all about what it means to be part of a community, citizenship and the importance of caring for each other, the environment and animals. Each will be learning about what their charity does and why.
