I've raised £200 to cover the start up costs of Red Box Project North Solihull. Funds raised will buy red boxes, sanitary products and cover printing costs.

Story

Period Poverty in the UK is a very real issue which Red Box Project is endeavouring to tackle through raising awareness of the issue by promotion of this community initiative.

This community project quietly aims to ensure that no young women misses school or experiences panic/anxiety or embarrassment because she has her period. We also want to stop young girls having to make do with wadded up toilet paper or spend their day worrying that they may leak because they can’t afford to have enough pads/tampons to cover all of the days of their period.

We want to make sure that young women have enough sanitary products to last their whole periods-not just a pad/tampon until the end of the school day.

Can you help the young women in our local area?

Can you tell your own friends about this project and invite them to join in and contribute?

Please help me to end period poverty in North Solihull.

Thank you so much,

Sarah
