    Story

2020 probably brought the toughest challenges for all of us as a community since the war. For most of us, that means "ever".

Throughout this period Redbrook Village Stores has remained open (extensively), well stocked, well managed and staffed by a handful of ladies who deserve our sincerest thanks! The challenges of staying safe, keeping others safe and continuing to provide an invaluable, essential service to the community of Redbrook are being faced daily by these staff.

We are all always grateful to the owners & the consortium who have kept the shop afloat and ensured that the village has benefited from such a valuable resource. And, of course, all of them have also been instrumental in keeping this going during Covid-19 and the government restrictions. But this fund raiser is specifically about making sure that, by the end of 2020, we have a way of saying "Thank You" to the staff that have kept the shop open, been there to serve us and managed the logistics on a day-to-day basis.

All of the funds raised here (from personal donations, group donations & any local fund-raising activities that you may wish to arrange) will be divided up between the Redbrook Village Stores staff at Xmas.

Well done and "Thank You" to all of them!

Maintaining our local services continues to be a major challenge with no end to Covid 19 in sight and tighter & tighter regulations being imposed for hospitality and retail services. And now the winter weather is coming to add to the problems! We are two-thirds of the way to reaching our target of raising at least £1000 by Xmas to go to the wonderful staff who have kept Redbrook Village Stores open 7 days a week throughout the pandemic. Please pass on the link to friends & family, colleagues & visitors - everybody who benefits!
