Story
Carrington School and Redhill Football Club are working together to fund a brand-new Astroturf pitch that will serve students, grassroots football, and community groups for years to come.

Thanks to a £628,550 Football Foundation grant, this exciting project is already underway, but we still need community support to complete it.
Every donation, big or small, will help create a reliable, inclusive space where football and sport can be played all year round.
A pitch that serves the whole community
We’re proud to share an exciting partnership between Carrington School and Redhill Football Club to upgrade and extend the school’s Astroturf pitch.
The current surface is over 20 years old and no longer meets the needs of the many groups who rely on it. At the same time, access to playable pitches — especially during wet and cold winters — has become one of the biggest challenges facing grassroots sport.

This new Astroturf will provide a modern, safe, all-weather facility that benefits thousands of people over the coming years.
A major step forward, with more to do
Carrington School has been awarded an incredible £628,550 grant from the Football Foundation to replace the pitch surface and install new lighting.
While this funding is transformative, around £200,000 still needs to be raised to complete the project.
That’s where the wider community comes in.
Redhill Football Club’s role
As part of this project, Redhill Football Club is raising £10,000 to contribute towards the new pitch and secure 10 years of guaranteed access for training and matches.

With over 650 children involved in the club, this investment will support player development, keep young people active, and reduce cancellations caused by poor weather.
The pitch is also used by Redhill FC’s:
- Youth teams
- Women’s teams
- First team
Who this pitch will support
This facility is used by, and will continue to support, a wide range of groups, including:
- Carrington School pupils (across multiple sports)
- Grassroots youth football
- Women & Girls football
- Disability football
- Men’s Mental Health football
- Displaced Young People (in partnership with Big Leaf Foundation)
- Holiday football camps and community sessions
This is more than a school pitch.
It’s a shared community asset.
