Story
Bethany Harriet Palmer was born on 28th July 2002 but her family and friends sadly lost her on 28th March 2020. Beth lived her life to the max and was an absolutely incredible singer (Click to download and hear her song Pixel Screens ).
Her life was all about love, fun and music and Beth’s amazing family want this to be her legacy. They are raising money for Beth’s Fund - they are using Beth's fund to send people on Papyrus courses which raises awareness of suicide and prevention. To date there are now 28 adults who can help our young people with their mental health issues because of Beth’s fund....we call this #thebetheffect 💕🎶🌟
Papyrus is a charity whose mission is to reduce the number of young people who take their own lives by shattering the stigma around suicide and equipping young people and their communities with the skills to recognise and respond to suicidal behaviour. Beth was an inspiration and we want to help contribute in raising money in her memory.
We are RUNNING every day in April in order to raise money for Papyrus in Beth’s name. To put this into perspective, Jo only managed to run 60k in total last year and we are both forcing ourself to do 500k in 2021. We can only just run 5k without collapsing! We are not amazing at running (yet) and we often look for any reason to get out of our twice weekly runs - so running each day will be a little challenging for us!! Hopefully we will chip off a few k from the 400k we still have left to run for 2021 and help Beth’s legacy to continue.
If anyone wants to join us in this challenge then please let us know!
