I've raised £5000 to Save Red Kite Radio

Red Kite Radio provides a vital service to the local community. For dozens of charitable, non-profit and community groups in the local area, Red Kite Radio provides a platform for publicising their activities and events. This publicity is a lifeline to cash-strapped and resource limited community groups and ensures they can engage local people in their activities and increase their supporter base. As local newspapers shrink or disappear entirely, non-profit community radio stations like Red Kite Radio become an essential source of local news and free promotion for community groups.
The efforts of local volunteers, society leaders and community organisers can only be effective if they can communicate their activities to their local area, whether recruiting new volunteers or members, attracting donors, or publicising fund-raising events. Red Kite Radio is an essential publicity platform to support these efforts and amplifies the worthy efforts of local organisations.
Our costs are always kept to a minimum with none of our personnel being paid even though, in some cases they work for more than forty hours a week to keep the station going. We believe however if we are to survive and serve our great community in the way it deserves, we need to attract at least £5,000 if we are not to close in June this year.
