Story

Ysgol Gymraeg Coed-y-Gof is a designated Welsh-medium school that is located in the Pentrebane area, in the North West of the City of Cardiff. The school has a large geographical catchment area and the majority of pupils come from the Caerau and Ely areas of Cardiff. These areas are described as being disadvantaged and have been identified as Communities First areas. Approximately 28% of pupils are entitled to free school meals, marginally above the national average (Estyn Inspection Report, 2010).

We graduates have been tasked with enhancing the outdoor play areas of the school, and the purpose of this crowdfunding is to ensure that we make this project the biggest success we can. Funds raised are intended to go towards funding a new wet-pour rubber flooring system to the front areas of the school, with any additional funds to go towards new play equipment for the children. All help towards reaching our target is greatly appreciated, and any funds raised above our target will be put towards our project or donated to the school directly.
