I've raised £900 to run Reed's Community Bonfire Night

UPDATE
As those of you who attended the Bonfire celebration on Saturday will know, we had a fantastic attendance estimated at some 800, with lots of visitors from Royston and the surrounding areas. That's several times bigger than it has been in the past, but despite the inevitable queues at the bar and the barbecue everyone was very patient and good-natured - thank you.
Those who attended were also very generous with our bucket collection, and the result of the proceeds of that and those who have very kindly given money on JustGiving is that we have exceeded our target and I can say that the future of Reed's bonfire event is financially secure for next year - and probably for the year after as well!
Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed so generously. We will close this page shortly.

Reed is a small village in North Hertfordshire. Every year Reed Parish Council organises a community event to mark Bonfire Night. Unfortunately it had to be cancelled in 2020, but it's coming back in 2021!
This year's event will be on Saturday 6 November at 6pm at Reed Green. It will feature a firework display, a bonfire, and the opportunity to enjoy drinks from the cricket club bar and food from a barbecue.
The event is run by volunteers and is self-financing. Traditionally it has paid for itself as a result of donations given in advance and through a bucket collection and proceeds from food sales on the night. All money raised goes towards running the community event again next year.
Because fewer people are using cash at the moment we wanted to provide an additional way for people to donate. That's why we're launching this JustGiving page. Please help ensure the future of this lovely village event by send us a few quid!
