Story

Reed's annual bonfire and fireworks may be over for 2023 - but the cause for which we were raising money lives on.

Thank you to all who gave generously to our bucket collection during Bonfire Night. If you weren't able to attend or didn't have cash with you on the night, there's still an opportunity to support this year's good cause - much-needed renovation of the playground at Reed Green.

The playground has been established for many years and attracts children and their parents from Reed, the surrounding villages, Royston and beyond. But some of the equipment is showing its age - and some has had to be taken out of commission for safety reasons. We would like to renovate or replace some of the equipment to make Reed's playground an even more enticing and exciting place for local youngsters.

The costs of the firework display this year were fully borne by the ring-fenced fund looked after by Reed Parish Council, enabling us to divert funds from the event towards local good causes. We'd love to be able to make a difference to the much-loved playground.

Please do contribute if you can!

And thank you for your support.
