Story

Play is an essential part of childhood, enabling the development of vital physiological, social and emotional skills. It allows children to build self-confidence and to develop secure and trusting relationships with others; it is a means of freedom of self-expression, healing and happiness. A sense of wonder and challenge and a desire to explore and discover is the foundation for the desire to learn. Play as a form of therapy removes the barriers to learning.

The right to play is recognised by the United Nations as a fundamental right of every child.

Refugee Children’s Centres provide safe spaces that meets this fundamental right and we would be delighted if you could support us in delivering this vital service.

Your donation will go towards building safe spaces, providing resources and play equipment for the centres and supporting our wonderful team of long-term volunteers who manage the centres.

We are currently raising money for 3 projects in Greece, the Gambia and Jordan. If you do not specify which project you would like to support, your donation will be allocated to a generic fund and spent as we see necessary.

Please see our website for more information on our current projects.

Thank you from all at Refugee Children’s Centres!
