Weʼve raised £1,157 to Fund winter clothing and provisions for Refugees in Greece, driving a 7.5 tonne lorry from the UK to Greece in November.

Story
Working with charities on the ground and specifically with the charity www.collectivecalling.com we are organising a 7.5 tonne lorry to take it from the UK to Greece next month - November.
The camps in Greece are hopelessly prepared for winter and the urgent need is huge. One camp for example - Petra, at a the foothills of Mount Olympus has over 600 children who have no winter clothing and very few provisions - blankets, dried food, baby milk formula etc.
We will be collecting goods from sites (schools etc) in the UK but in addition there are high costs which we need to find - fuel, tolls, ferries etc. Additionally we would like cash to buy any shortfalls from our collections before departing the UK.

8 years agoThis is the main site in Greece we are supplying aid to - Petra in central Macedonia. Snow has made access almost impossible. Of the 1200 at the site almost 500 are children under 12 - they are freezing - wet and understandably miserable. We collected 14 tonnes of aid yesterday in Kiel and will deliver that in Greece next week. We are still short of our financial target to be able to give the most to these desperate people - simply humans like you and me. Our names are Peter and Eileen Marston; Peter is a retired Naval Officer and Eileen a retired Nurse. We are currently working voluntarily for the christian charity Revelation TV. Our Mission to Greece is in support of the charity www.collectivecalling.org
