Story
This is reggie, reggie is a 4 year old French bulldog who we rehomed in 2018. Little did we know how whole he made our family. It was now complete.
On Saturday 9th October reggie had a little accident on the floor, which is Completley out of character. After going out to the toilet reggies mum woke up at 4am to find his back legs paralysed and in a lot of pain.
Rushing to the emergency vet reggie was given the death sentence. This happened with 3 seperate vets over the space of 3 days.
We couldn't let this happen, he was still full of life and wanted to fight this.
Due to us losing our jobs to covid I we had no insurance, plus with all his skin and knee problems he was pretty much insurable or they would refuse to pay out. I had just started a new job 2 weeks in prior to his slipped disk, I packed in my job to care for reggie and contacted local ivdd sights who told us to keep up hope with reggie and don't listen to the vets. We needed an mri and neurologist. We took reggie to Liverpool University small pet hospital. Where his Mri and surgery went well. Giving him a 50/50 chance to walk again.
We managed to raise the deposit of £2,000 to get him in but now we are faced with a £3,000 bill left to pay.
For all the family and friends who have donated and any future donations. Myself, reggie, his dad and sister want to thank you for giving our boy a chance at life when many vets wouldn't.
