Our senior level 5 team have secured a place at the “Cheerleading World Championships” to be held in Florida USA in April 2020. This team consists of athletes from both Bay Stormers in Morecambe and our sister team Derwent Valley Allstars based in Consett near Newcastle. Training is alternated between the two clubs. The youngest member of this team will be 13 years old.

We are very fortunate and honoured to be given the opportunity to represent the UK, however there are many expenses connected with this and we rely solely on our own fundraising events and the support of local businesses.

The major expense for the club will be paying for training kits, licensed music, training & travel fees whilst in the US to name but a few and we anticipate the cost per athlete to be in the region of £1600. We have around 20 athletes within this team. Each athlete will be involved in fundraising throughout the year but we also need the support from outside our community and hope that we can support our aspiring athletes to progress, develop and be ready to go out onto the mat in 2020.
