TBBC: Breaking Mental Barriers Through Sport

My name is Reiss Bliss, and I’m the founder of TBBC – Sporting Through Mental Health.
🧠 The Mental Health Crisis
• 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health challenge this year.
• 1 in 5 young people will battle addiction.
• 6% of our UK armed forces suffer with PTSD.
Too many suffer in silence — but it doesn’t have to be that way.
🥊 What We Believe
At TBBC, we use sport as a tool to build resilience, connection, and recovery.
We believe mental strength is forged the same way as physical strength — under pressure, through repetition, and with the right team around you.
We don’t do boring therapy rooms.
We do hills. Surf. Ice baths. Triathlons. Grit.
Because when your mind says “stop” and your body keeps going — that’s where transformation happens.

🏅 My Challenge: 6 Races for Mental Resilience
I’ve never won a medal in my life.
But this year, I’m pushing myself through six events — not for ego, but to show that anything is possible when you refuse to give up.
Each race is dedicated to those battling the invisible — anxiety, addiction, PTSD, depression.
This is for them. For us.

• 4th May – Frimley Run (10K)
• 10th May – Tough Mudder (5K)
• 13th July – Henley Swim (2.1km)
• 20th July – Guildford Triathlon
• 14th September – London to Brighton Ride (55 miles)
Every race is more than a finish line. It’s a statement:
