On the 18th of August 2024, a large group of friends and loved ones will be running the Scottish Half Marathon in memory of Rachel Phillips.

Rachel passed away unexpectedly at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on the 10th of August 2023 after a brief illness and we would like to raise funds for the Neuro-Intensive Care Unit due to the care, kindness, and level of dignity they provided for Rachel and the family in those final days.

We have since found out that Rachel was born with a rare genetic autoimmune condition and, as a result, would like to additionally raise funds for Histio UK. Histio UK are dedicated to promoting and funding scientific research into uncovering the causes of all histiocytic diseases and ensuring early diagnosis, effective treatment, and a cure, as well as supporting patients and their families.
