Weʼve raised £2,823 to Raise vital funds for SSAFA and Dementia UK by taking part in the Veterans Banger Rally 2022

Story
For those of you that know Senior Moments Care and the Moments Hub you will know that we support those who live with Dementia and their families, many of which are Veterans
We were given the opportunity to join the annual Veterans banger rally driving from Dover to Gibraltar to raise vital funds for both great causes and raising awareness of the amazing work done by the Admiral Nurses who are funded by Dementia Uk. so Bob and Sally have risen to the challenge and will be leaving in September to join approximately 60 other teams
The plan is to acquire a vehicle and cover it with messages from sponsors, if there is a particular memory of a place along the route we can visit it for you and send photos back all for a donation
We are looking for sponsors from all walks of life, we need a vehicle, insurance and of course fuel to get us there

2 years agoWith just 3 weeks before we leave on our quest and time for one final push, we have been told that if we can reach £2500 a friend will make sure our target is made So if you can spare just £5 to get to that figure before we leave that would be magnificent We have been in all the local papers recently and will be mentioning all our supporters as we travel along with #travelswithtrevor Thank in advance

2 years agoWow we have reached 60% of our target, who would have thought it possible still a month and 2 events to go before we leave for Gibraltar Come and visit us at Lytham Hall tomorrow or join us for a amazing Curry night on the 17th August

2 years agoYea we have reached our first £1000 many thanks to everyone so far, still got the Garden Party, Vintage Car rally and the curry night before we leave for Gibraltar once again thank you to all our supporters so far
