Hi all, my name is Renata and I am doing this crazy race: cycling 1000 miles on mountain bike. This race is completely unsupported and the route is across the width of Slovakia and Czech Republic over the mountains; through areas of bears; across rivers and all sort of other 'fun'.

I would like to raise £1600 to symbolise the 1600km that I will ride. My goal is to raise money for a charity project called ‘Slavata triatlon tour’. Tomas Slavata, the cone man on the picture above organises triathlon races and events for kids; focused on children from Children homes and dysfunctional families. The aim is to motivate kids through sport hence preventing them from turning to bad or even criminal behaviour. Children should all have the same opportunities regardless of their background or ability to buy expensive sports equipment. Kids who don't have anything can still participate or race borrowing everything that they need - bike, helmet etc.

The money raised by my cycling challenge is going to support these children by providing them with sports equipment (clothes, shoes) and having more equipment available to be used at kids triathlons. The big dream is to create a non-profit training centre for these kids which they could attend free of charge; allowing them to get away from their home environment whilst developing skills and relationships through sport.
