I've raised £1000 to help RAF.KW with their animal rescue work in Kuwait

RAF.KW (Rescue, Adopt, Foster, Kuwait) is a not-for-profit animal rescue team that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes dogs and cats that have been abused and abandoned in Kuwait.
The team is made up of 2 amazing women whose love for animals knows no bounds. They never back down from a fight, even if it means standing up against abusers themselves, having policemen laugh at their pleas to help an animal, or walking out of the animal market with a dying puppy in hand – ignoring the shouts of the shopkeeper to pay for the dwindling dog.
The first stop for these animals is always a check up at the vet – this is the point at which donations are crucial for RAF.KW. Vet bills are extortionate and there is a neverending mass of animals that are suffering from abuse and illness. Although it's extremely upsetting, without financial help, RAF.KW cannot help every animal they come across. The reality is that they are just two people, like you and me, who got together to do what they can out of the goodness of their hearts, alongside living their normal day-to-day lives with their families and their 9-5 jobs.
Why RAF.KW? Because unfortunately, a culture of animal abuse and neglect is considered normal in countries like Kuwait and many people do not value the lives of animals, even if they are their pets. There are many individuals that have gotten together to compose various rescue groups, but that’s all there is. Individuals coming together to try and solve this problem.
Once animals are on the road to recovery, RAF.KW finds suitable fosters to host their dogs or cats until a forever home is found – anywhere in the world. Which leads us to my story….
I want to help RAF.KW because they are incredible individuals and they deserve our help. They brought Rosie into my life (@ramblingwithrosie), and I am eternally grateful.
Rosie was found in March 2018 as a young pup, battered and bruised with two broken legs and deep wounds. The vet informed RAF.KW that there was a chance she would never walk again.
It was discovered that she had been beaten up by boys at a government school… and to cut a long, long story short, she has found her forever home with me in the UK.
But RAF.KW didn’t stop there. They didn’t just rescue Rosie... they went to that school and educated the children on why they shouldn’t have done what they did.
Although it was too little, too late, some of the children showed remorse and even raised a bit of money between them to go towards RAF.KW’s cause.
KD 6.250 (around £17.08). Every penny counts.
Do you see? Rescue groups like RAF.KW need to continue to function if any changes are to be made to Kuwait’s lax attitude towards animal abuse and welfare. Through your donations these groups are able to continue to rescue, rehabilitate and most importantly EDUCATE.
Please show your support today by donating to RAF.KW. Thank you.
