I've raised £1250 to Myself and Gina run Rescue Cats NI. We work tirelessly to help stray, orphaned, abandoned and sick cats and kittens.

Gina and I run Rescue Cats NI. We aren‘t a registered charity and are totally self funded. We rely on the kindness of friends, family and our followers to help raise funds. From time to time we experience huge vet bills depending on how many sick cats we are trying to help. Since I’ve been involved in Rescue, this has been the busiest year yet. Most likely the warm weather has enabled many more kittens to survive living outdoors until they are rescued and come to us. Kittens surviving into the late Autumn months brings illness such as cat flu, colds, eye infections & generally little sick, weak kittens. All this sickness means we need to be more dedicated than ever, providing round the clock care and veterinary treatment. Little Poppy succumbed to a horrible infection. It started with some sneezing amd watery eyes. But the hidden effects were weakness, lethargy and anorexia. After a week long fight, Poppy lost her find in the early hours of 9th Dec. I will never forget the dread when the phone rang, and I’m gerning again.
So we have a vet bill for out of hours vet last night of around £350, plus the bills with our own vet for treating Poppy, her siblings and numerous other kittens and Mums. The list is endless for the amount of illness since the end of Sep.
I know its Christmas and for most people money is tight but even £1 helps. We both work full time and have families. We are just 2 normal girls trying to help the helpless. I reckon this year alone, myself, Laua and Gina has rescued and rehomed at least 200 cats and kittens.
Thank you all so much.
