Weʼve raised £1,160 to give Christmas presents to children who are separated from a parent because of family migration rules

Funded on Sunday, 28th March 2021

    Story

Reunite Families UK wants to raise money to buy a little gift for some the most vulnerable children affected by these cruel rules and we’d like your help .

We realise this festive holiday will be difficult for many families in Britain but for the most part children will at least be able to spend it with both mummy and daddy.

This year, as they do every year, our children are writing their letters to Santa. But instead of asking for a present they are asking for the return of their mother or father. We know at Reunite that we cannot make this happen for the children, but we would like to be able to give a token present to those children who will find Christmas extremely difficult this year - especially as Covid19 is affecting any chance of them reuniting. For many children there will be a place at the Christmas table where a parent should be sitting, and presents being opened to a computer screen.

This Christmas please ‘pass it on’ - donate to our Christmas present fund and help us put a smile on some children's faces.

Dear all. I wanted to say Happy New Year to you all and to say a huge thank you. We sent gift vouchers out to some of our families just before Christmas and they were taken aback by the kindness and thoughtfulness of the gift so thank you all so much for the smiles you brought to not only the little faces but also to those of parents who have been having a really tough time. We didn't spend every penny so the remaining £250 will be kept in a secure pot to use for the children ONLY. We wish you a brighter, healthier 2021 From us at RFUK

RFUK would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for donating to this fund. We will be sending out vouchers to children imminently and would not have been able to do this without your generosity. There are so many children in the UK experiencing household poverty and impacts of covid so being able to help this group of children who are experiencing all that AND not having a parent with them too because of UK visa rules will mean alot to them and their families. Happy holidays to you and yours The Reunite Families UK team

Thank you everyone for so generously supporting our Christmas Appeal. We are nearly half way which is amazing and we are very grateful! Please keep a look out on twitter on Tues 15th Dec between 7-9pm as Neville Southall - one of our more well known supporters - is very kindly giving us his twitter platform to do another Twitter Takeover to raise awareness of our appeal and the issue facing innocent little children and their families. Please join us at @ReuniteDivFamil and share some tweets!! Thank you for your support Reunite Families UK

We spent almost a year apart and it breaks my heart to think of families still experiencing this. Thanks for the work you do.
