Recently - I informed my facebook friends of the passing away of Sara Williams and the last thing I can do for her is to carry out her wishes as she had dictated them to me a few weeks before she passed.

I am posting this as a part of those wishes!

If you read this post you may well recollect that I had added the paragraph:

"My thanks go out to the wonder Mr Mark Mantle of Treliske Hospital who performed three of Sara's procedures - two of which were literally life saving..........."

Sara thought very highly of Mark and asked me to thank him for all that he had done for her said to me of him, "He went the extra mile to buy me time that I wouldn't have otherwise have had and he never lied to me about anything." She was also aware that the Cornish Freemasons were raising money to buy Mark's department a new piece of equipment. For those of you who have not figure it out yet - I number within the ranks of Cornish Freemasonry and she instructed me to do all I could to help achieve this worthy goal.

It was also Sara's express wish to have her remains disposed of as simply as possible and with no service and as such there will be no funeral. Just a simple spreading of her ashes with immediate family.

So in lieu of flowers or a funeral service collection may I ask you to consider giving whatever you feel able to helping raise money to buy Mark's department the piece of equipment they need.

What a fitting tribute for one who had served in the health service to continue to do so.
