I've raised £11350 to Help replace the burnt out tractor, provide a spare for the fledgling industry during times of hardship as well as fire safety training&info

Chrissy and I this week suffered a real setback. And yes you may consider this a 1st world problem but we have put our heart and souls into starting this business to produce fine English wines sustainably, no trust fund or family money has been used in our business it is all money we'd have earnt, invested wisely and raised along with the support of our neighbours, fringes and Chrissy family. We have helped already transform the UK wine industry Helping EMR start the first Research Consortium for Wine Grapes. We have also developed IoT devices( iTrellis.uk) to help us understand climate, mitigate frost risks and massively reduce chemical usage in vineyards reducing the massive costs of production by also deliver a more natural and "healthy" grapes and wines.
We had a real bout of Murphy Law. Our fantastic tractor which we brought from a local farmer only recently check over, developed an electrical fault whether resulted in a small fire behind the staring wheel, I managed to get the machine out of the vineyard so to be able to get out and fight the fire that had developed. Nothing helped, it was like a trick birthday candle. Amazingly Larkfield fire brigade arrived within 2 and a half minutes and quickly arrested the fire, but it was too late. We think Chris and his team managed to save the implement and tools we were using.
Although the tractor is insured the value of vineyard tractors and at this time of year had increased demand and price of the machines. To buy a machine from France is also difficult due to the weak pound.
We want to raise funds not just for the replacement. But also to buy a second machine for this industry should any other vineyard experience this mortifying problem. We also would like to raise awareness of the issues so to be able to hold courses on fire prevention in vineyards but also fire fighting, safety and the correct tools.
