I've raised £1000 to Help support Rhiannon in her figure skating training at an elite level in Oxford

I have been figure skating since I was 7 years old and took to it at an elite level when I was around 12.
After having been training in Sheffield since 2013, I was offered the opportunity to train with an International technical specialist and Olympic jumps technician in Coventry. In 2016, aged 17 I moved to Coventry to follow my dream.
Unfortunately in January 2017, an injury from 2015 redeveloped and resulted in me requiring over a year off skating and three surgeries to reform my ankle joint. Being only given a 20% chance to skate again, I am proud to say I got back on the ice in October of 2017 and began fully training again in March of this year.
In February, my coaching team relocated to Oxford, an hour and a half commute from Coventry where I currently lodge. Due to the high living costs in Oxford, I am currently unable to afford to live anywhere other than Coventry, meaning an hour and a half travelling each morning to get to the rink in Oxford.
Despite my injury, I am currently competing at the second highest level in the country and hope to make my Senior debut early next year at the top level internationally. The dream and hope is that I achieve a place on the European and World figure skating teams in a few years time, representing Great Britain as an elite athlete.
