Hello!

I hope everyone is keeping safe and well. This is an unprecedented time where we are all concerned, especially for those loved ones who are most vulnerable to Covid-19. I'm sure all of us are still in disbelief about the current state the world is in.

I have decided to do my part to provide as much help to citizens living in the village where I grew up, back in the Philippines. It is still very much home for me.

As much as I'm aware that all of us are struggling in this situation, most of these villagers are just not capable of sustaining themselves. A lockdown is now in force which means many will loose their jobs and the government support will reach only a proportion. Even though our village residents are trying their best to stay positive, all are under immense strain during this hard time.

Our village council are doing their best to help by giving urgent medical necessities as well as food and drink. However, we are afraid that the village funds for such an emergency crisis will not be nearly enough.

I am therefore hoping to raise funds which will enable the village council to provide support to the community by buying further supplies of drinkable water and food. This will serve to help out families affected by the community lockdown and those who simply cannot afford to buy daily necessities.

I'm humbly asking my relatives, friends, colleagues, acquaintances and any of you who are willing to help for donations. This can be as much or as little as you can - any help will go a long way. I understand that most people are also struggling both financially and emotionally but this would mean a lot to our village residents. All the help would be very much appreciated.

All funds are collected via crowdfunding page attached and I will be forwarding any generous donations direct to the village council to utilise as mentioned.
