Story
In March 2017 whilst out for a training run for the leeds half marathon, Richard‘s heart suddenly stopped and he callapsed. Luckily there was somebody near who gave him cpr and he was rushed into hospital.
Unfortuneatly as a result of his heart stopping richards brain was starved of oxygen and he suffered serious brain damage Which has left him disabled. He has spent the last 5 years in hospital and has needed 24 hour care since his accident.
Richard has made huge improvements over the last few years and his family are looking to continue his rehabilitation at home. They are looking for a property that will suit richards needs, the new home and garden will need modifications and we are hoping that anything we can raise will go towards making him more comfortable in his new home.
To help raise money for this on the weekend of june 26th seven of us (some being old work colleages of Richards) will be cycling around the hills of the lake district, walking up scarfell pike and some water based activity… all in fancy dress.
we appreciate anything that you can donate to this cause, bringing Richard home, especially after the last 18 months is what his family want the most, and it wouls be amazing if we all could play a small part in making this happen.
thanks,
