Last year I entered the ballot for the London marathon as a joke, when I received the email saying I was unsuccessful I was a bit disappointed as time went by I didn't think much more into it, roll onto Christmas and my wife had entered me into the Chester marathon as well as the paras 10 which is a 10 mile run organised by the parachute regiment and I also entered a 10k run now as anyone who knows me I never ran or really exercised and would never think I could run a marathon, in the new year my training started and I knew straight away it was gonna be a struggle, like just running just 2 mile was hard, straight away I thought of raising money for BAND OF BUILDERS as the training runs got more frequent I found it easier and the runs got longer now 6 months in I'm doing 10 mile runs and have done one run equalling to a half marathon,

The BAND OF BUILDERS was formed from a friendship between Keith ellick and Addam smith. it has created a movment that truly highlights the military like camaraderie that unites builders up and down the country.

when finding out his best friend was termilnally ill with cancer addam set out to do what any good friend would do, anything and everything to make life easier for his mate and his family.

sadly keith lost his battle with cancer but his legacy lives on through the band of builders,we continue to do great things for people with your support.
