I've raised £500 to For the local foodbanks and maggies highland in Inverness

Iain Maclean - Son/Father/Husband/Brother/Uncle/Friend
Iain’s life was taken too early leaving behind a loving wife, two children and loving family.
Iain had a very successful career in south of France as skipper on Super-yachts, latterly as yacht broker when his health broke down and his balance was affected so he could no longer work at sea.
He Died on 5th October 2001 aged 46 - he fought for 6 years with first esophageal cancer and then two cancer tumors of the brain.
He managed to fight the first tumor but sadly could not fight the second.
He fought hard, suffered and sadly passed away.
Iain's birthday is this month 24th May- he would be 64. Two days before the event.
I can speak for everyone close to lain in that he was a well-respected man with a heart of gold and a real family man.
He tried his best to keep his family together through any squabbles :-)
My mum thinks about him all the time, she was so proud of her big brother and looked up to him immensely.
She always talks about how much of a great person and honorable man he was but also joked how scared she was of his foul temper if anyone crossed him :-).
I know he would be proud looking down on his family and how well his wife Suzanne and two successful sons Peter and Paul have Done..
I will Split the donations 50% to To Maggies Inverness which is an independent Scottish charity which helps people and their families deal with cancer ,and 50% the food banks in Inverness ( To which I personally will go and get the food and deliver to each food bank to make sure the money raised is getting to where it needs to be)
I think Iain would be happy with the work they do at Maggies and also buying the food for the food-banks with the proceeds the money gets put where it needs to be.
If i raise my target i will put in 50 pounds or 5% of the amount raised (up-to £100) whichever is the higher
I will also pay everyone's Fees up to a maximum of £25
I will document every spend with receipts and will take photos of my handing over of the items donated
So as to ensure you know all your donations are getting put to the best and maximum use.
Thanks everyone.
ALL donations greatly appreciated
