Story
I've been running the campsite for 7 years now, met some lovely people over the years who started as casual tourists that are now good friends. Originally we started out living the goodlife, growing veg and rearing animals.

Over the years things evolved into a small 5 caravan club affiliated site which was great meeting more people and seeing them come and enjoy what our countryside and coastline had to offer. As time passed by we had more visitors and submitted a planning application to the council for 10 caravans which was refused on 3 main issues, 1.visual impact. 2. close to a sssi (site of significant scientific interest , namely the humber estuary) 3. being in a flood zone. ( all the east coast is )
last year the same council and case officer passed the yorkshire wildlife trust planning application for their new visitors centre and car/coach park at spurn point which has been on the tv news and has been very contraversial to say the least, but why have the same objections not counted to them ? Look at the photos and tell me the council got this right ? And that this visitors centre nestles into the landscape with no visual imact on the sssi in a flood zone ?

So we now find ourselves with a planning enforement notice which will close us down, meaning ultimately we would not be able to pay the mortgage and end up homeless unless we can fight on, this is a true david & golieth story about one local man vs the council which they find it easy to waste tax payers money on things like destroying local business & lives.

we have engaged a solicitor in hull, details can be provided and we can be contacted via email with any letters of support which may strengthen our appeal. We intend to go to appeal and resubmit new ecology and flood surveys and hope to continue here for years to come,

we are not asking for free donations, as many people who have met us over the years know we would do anything to help anyone, so i propose that anyone who donates please print off your receipt and exchange it for your fees when staying at blue bell pond. We sincearly hope that with your help we can challange the council and say "the same planning rules apply to the little man and not just the big boys" everyone should be treated fairly not judged by how much money they have.
The pettiness from the council amounts to asking for the removal of picnic benches, bird hide/shed etc but mainly things like water taps, electric points which have been in for over 4 years which if they get their way would most certainly close the site, and the concequences as mentioned before would be not trading, losing the site we built together and ultimately losing the family home, a home where our two youngest charlie & baylee were born, the true locals of kilnsea. This is a matter of principle, so for those who understand right and wrong please share this funding page, and small amounts are welcome to help stand up to a inconsistant council and hope we can make a stand against them and survive this ordeal.

Thank you for reading this , please please share on social media to try raise the target amount And any extra money from the fundraising will donated to charity.
