Story

In October I am walking to Everest Base Camp and wish to raise some money for 4 different charities. I am helping 30 women on their charity EBC17 trek and wish to donate some money to their cause. Their chosen charities are Families' Activity Breaks (through YHA) and Community Action Nepal and both make a tremendous difference to families in the UK and Nepal respectively.

In addition I want to raise money for two of my favourite charities:

1. Mercia Accident Rescue Service. MARS is a registered charity which exists in order to deliver enhanced immediate medical care to the people of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. MARS is a group of highly trained and experienced pre-hospital practitioners including a friend of mine Dr. Malcolm Russell MBE. Although some disposable equipment is supplied by the local NHS , the bulk of equipment is funded from public donation. They need financial support to ensure that they are fully equipped for the role. Donations are also needed to ensure the future development of MARS.

2. Bullie Bonkers Rescue. BBR is a Hereford based charity who rescue Bull Terriers. After our beloved Jake died last year we decided to get a rescue Bull Terrier and we were told about BBR. A young couple Anna and Matt run the charity in Hereford and have rescued many dogs from being put to sleep at a young age. Most of the dogs are rescued from Spain where dogs are not looked after in the same way we do in the UK. We collected Blu towards the end of last year and he now has a happy life with myself and Jan in Hereford, after his previous owners threw him away in Gran Canaria. The first photo above is of Blu when he arrived at Bullie Bonkers Rescue Headquarters and the second is after a lot of TLC.
BBR need money to continue their amazing work, it costs about £600-£700 to rescue each dog which includes Vets fees, flights to the Spanish Mainland, transport to the UK, boarding and of course dog food.

I am really looking forward to my trek to EBC and hope to raise a decent amount for each charity. Please message me for more details.
Hopefully see you all soon
