"Southport forget me not cafe".

What a beautiful place for people to come and just be. A game changer for people and there carers, who are associated with dimentia. Not open very long and run totally on people's good will. I met Jenny Bowles and her mum today (1/4/26) to discuss a fund raiser for the cafe. Places like this always need funding and support and im aiming to make this my biggest fund raiser. Southport's my home town and i have a lot to be grateful for. This will be the best yet if YOU get behind me.

The fund raiser is: Ride a bike from Southport-Carlisle-Edinburgh. About 215 miles with 10.000ft of climbing in between. The ride will run in conjunction with " The Ride To The Sun". Im asking for, at least 1p per mile, not a lot i here you say. But, that 1p = £2.15 will buy a box of tea bags , because the cafe is a non profit organisation.

Above is the route we will be taking. We do have 3 segments up for grabs. So, if you are looking to sponsor us on one of these segments each one is 72 miles long and that will be yours. The ride will take place on saturday 20th June from the cafe at 7.30am. Anyone wanting to join for the first few miles are very welcome.

1. Southport to Burneside.

2. Burneside to Lockerbie.

3. Lockerbie to Edinburgh.
