In May 2023 Richard Cochrane lost his brave and determined fight against Motor Neurone Disease, but his impact and inspiration lives on in the community environmental projects that he catalysed.

He co-founded REACT - the Roseland Environment Action on Climate Team - as a response to the climate and ecological emergencies. The aim was to show that community action can be highly effective - and fun!

Your gift in memory of Richard will support the work of REACT - an organisation close to Richard's heart and one based around the beautiful area where he lived.

REACT will continue to uphold Richard's vision: creating nature corridors; planting trees to support biodiversity on the Roseland peninsula; developing a local tree nursery to supply native species of trees; supporting renewable technology schemes to enable more local people to move away from fossil fuels ; supporting local people to draught-proof and insulate their homes; reducing plastic pollution ; safeguarding the ecosystem of Gerrans Bay ; and working with the local communities and Parish Councils on addressing the climate emergency.

Richard inspired and initiated so much positive change – please help that to continue as his legacy by supporting the wonderful work of REACT.
